The characters in the story are: Liza, the daddy's girl protagonist and the narrator of the story, Tita Loleng, Liza's aunt, Meg, Liza's younger sister, Liza's father, who caused the main conflict of the story, Liza's mother, a martyr for Liza's father but a tyrant on her own children, Sylvia, the mistress of Liza's father and Lem's mother, and Lem, the deceased illegitimate child.
3. What do you think led to the emotional separation of Liza from her father?
Even though Liza was a daddy's girl, everything changed when her father had another family. Moreover, the fact that she was once a daddy's girl made the emotional distance even greater between the two of them.
4. What was the most interesting part of the story?
The most interesting part of the story for me is Sylvia's statement "Everyone's makes mistakes, Liza."
Based on my personal opinion and other cues from the story, Sylvia is suggesting that this statement also applies to Liza's father. However, I personally do not get how Liza will be able to understand this statement since she was not in the wrong in anyway based on the given context.
I also admired Liza for retaining her composure throughout the story.

The story was about a severed relationship between a daughter (Liza) and her father. It featured a story about Liza's point of view of her emotional separation to her father as he had another family.
6. Who narrated the story?
Liza was the narrator of the story. The story also mostly featured Liza's point of view.
